Squamish Nation consists of 23 villages and is comprised of descendants of the Coast Salish Aboriginal people who live in the present-day Greater Vancouver area, Gibson’s Landing, and Squamish River watershed. About The Opportunity
Working as an integral part of the Ta na wa Shéway i7x̱w ta Úxwumixw - Squamish Valley Operations Department, this position reports directly to the Manager, Squamish Nation – Squamish Valley Operations, This position must be professionally prepared as a Class 4 driver and must be able to meet the requirements of the BC Driver’s Licensing agency. The incumbent is sensitive and mature with the ability to relate well to children, youth and elders. This position will be responsible for driving the Program van to pick up families participating in the Ayas Lam Family Program. In addition to the driving responsibilities, a major part of their day will be spent providing support to the Parent Program. This will include working closely with our Aboriginal Infant Development Facilitator. The incumbent will be required to connect with the managers as well as the administrate staff for scheduled family program for pick up and drop off.

Starting Salary: $ 22.74 per hour.
