Who We Are

Squamish Nation consists of 23 villages and is comprised of descendants of the Coast Salish Aboriginal people who live in the present-day Greater Vancouver area, Gibson’s Landing, and Squamish River watershed. As an organization, we provide support to the greater Squamish Nation Community through service. With 11 departments with individual areas of expertise, we ensure Community Members have access to necessary programs and services.


Working as an integral part of the Ta na wa Shéway I7x̱w ta Úxwumixw Planning and Capital Projects Department, this position reports directly to the Director of Planning and Capital Projects, this is role will assist the Director on a variety of visible projects requiring experience in both long range and development planning; permitting; policy development and governmental relations. Project Management experience would also be helpful. This position will provide project management expertise and support on projects across the Nation. This role is responsible for the planning, management and delivery of projects, both ongoing and with a definitive start and end date. The incumbent is organized, adaptable, and uses excellent oral and written communication skills to ensure deadlines are met by project teams. They are constantly looking for new opportunities to add value for stakeholders, often by improving processes or exceeding objectives. For this role, demonstrated experience and a strong understanding of project management principles is required. This position will play a key role in developing Departmental strategy and goals and translating those into tangible operational plans.

Starting Salary: $ 90,464 annually, plus a comprehensive benefit program.
